WEST SACRAMENTO, CA – Raley’s Family of Fine Stores is making its motto, “Celebrate Food. Celebrate Life.” a reality for Modesto-area residents, with the Grand Opening of its fourth Modesto store. Local and national celebrities are making appearances throughout the opening week to help celebrate the arrival of this new store. On Wednesday, August 29, the new Raley’s store at 3020 Floyd Ave. (at Roselle Ave.) will officially open for business at 6:00 a.m.
“This beautiful new store, coupled with Raley’s superior quality products and outstanding service, will delight our Modesto customers,” says Raley’s President and CEO, Bill Coyne. “We warmly invite our Modesto neighbors to come join us as we open our newest Raley’s Fresh Market and Pharmacy.”
With 65,701 square feet, this spacious new store will offer customers more than what they would normally expect in a conventional grocery store. With a peaceful ambiance reflecting our strong local heritage, customers are sure to enjoy an inviting, comfortable shopping environment when they visit the new store. The grand opening of this new Modesto store offers customers a variety of celebratory events, commencing with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, August 29 at 8:30 a.m. in the store.
Community members and local dignitaries will be present at the ceremony, including Modesto’s Vice Mayor, Brad Hawn, and the President and CEO of the Modesto Chamber of Commerce, Joy Madison.
Customers will enjoy coffee and refreshments, food sampling and many in-store giveaways, including the chance to win free groceries for one month. The Roger Krum Jazz Quartet will entertain guests with live music throughout the morning. Local celebrities are even joining the grand opening celebration throughout the store’s opening day. Laura McIntosh, host of the agriculturally-based cooking show, Bringing It Home, will also be on-site to meet customers and help celebrate the opening of this new store. Dave Mirassou of America’s oldest winemaking family will help continue the celebration throughout the evening by signing bottles of his family’s popular California wine, Mirassou, in the store on August 29.
To continue the celebration, on Thursday, August 30 from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., customers can meet the 2006 Next Food Network Star, Guy Fieri, host of Guy’s Big Bite and Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. Guy will demonstrate some of his inventive twists on everyday recipes through cooking demonstrations and will take time to sign autographs for fans.
On Saturday, September 1, the grand opening festivities will highlight the Modesto Raley’s Aisle 1 Fueling Center with food sampling, fuel card giveaways and free car wash vouchers at the fueling center adjacent to the store. Customers can earn an instant 25-cent per gallon fuel reward with an eligible grocery purchase of $50 or more in any Modesto Raley’s through September 30th. The fuel reward voucher prints out automatically on the customer’s receipt and can be redeemed for the 25-cent reward right at the pump.
